Volunteers and PTO
GET INVOLVED!
Getting involved is the best way to participate in and get to know your child's education and school experience! Parents can volunteer in a variety of ways depending on personal interest and availability. Volunteer in the classroom or the Parent Center, sign up as a Room Parent, serve on and attend one of our three school governance councils, or supervise students in our garden composting program! Virtual volunteer opportunities also exist. If you want to get involved, please contact Griselda Luis, Parent Representative, at [email protected].
Additionally, volunteering opportunities are available throughout the year with the Mid-City Prescott PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). Founded in 2022, the mission of the Mid-City Prescott PTO is to foster a welcoming and informed school community of students, families, and staff through support, involvement, enrichment programs, and strong communications. The PTO aims to encourage participation, plan special activities and events, provide input on school operations and programs, and raise funds for school programs.
To get involved with the PTO, simply attend a meeting. You can also email [email protected] and join our Facebook group and/or our BAND site. We’re excited to hear from you!
La asociación de padres y maestros de Mid-City Prescott, PTO siglas en inglés, fue fundada en el 2022. La misión principal es de promover una comunidad escolar acogedora e informativa entre estudiantes, familias y personal del plantel, por medio del apoyo, la participación, programas de enriquecimiento y fuerte comunicación. El propósito del PTO es incentivar la participación, planificar actividades especiales y eventos, proveer opiniones en las operaciones de la escuela y programas, además de hacer recaudaciones de fondos para programas de la escuela.
